You must be on the Ontario Voters List to vote, but you do not have to pre-register. Registrants are often on the list because details are provided from the annual income tax filing.

It you are not on the list when you arrive to vote don’t worry! All you need to register at your polling place on Election Day is piece of mail with your mailing address or a lease to confirm your residence and a valid piece of photo identification. For example; your driver’s license, health card or passport.

If you are registered already, in advance of the election you will receive a Voter Information Card in the mail. This card will tell you which location to vote at for your riding.  Check your registration status at Elections Ontario.
